With over 30 conservation stamps and prints and two Federal Duck Stamps and Prints credited to his name, David Maass has achieved a level of international recognition that may be unsurpassed in the field of sporting art. Ducks Unlimited, the National Wild Turkey Federation and the Minnesota Wildlife Heritage Foundation have each named David Maass their Artist of the Year. In 1970, he succeeded renowned artist, Richard Bishop, as the creator of wildfowl paintings for Brown & Bigelow calendars. David Maass is an avid outdoorsman and his paintings reflect the years of disciplined study that have helped distinguish him as one of today’s foremost wildlife artists.
